This kind of summed up the January festival. Ornate costumes, rain, packed with people, and a lot of fun.

At 4am, we walked for an hour in a 'prosisyon' with the Sto. Niño on carosas, geting back to the Kalibo Cathedral in time for mass at 5am.

Sandro and I took a tricycle to where the dancers were congregating at 6am in the am. What beautiful light!

This is the sunrise that Sandro and I got on Sat. morning before we took a trike to where the dancers where congregating, around a km away. Sandro, the architecture expert, identified the building as art deco. Looked to me like some buildings in Quiapo like the Odeon moviehouse. We used to skip class in grade school and watch movies there.
